Piano Chamber Students Achieved Top Placements in the Kiwanis Music Festival 2026

Kiwanis Music Festival is a multidisciplinary music festival and competition held annually in various regions across Canada. Piano area has the most participants, and the level of performances is often very impressive relative to performers' age.

Piano Chamber students Jimmy and Eldrick took part in the Festival's Senior Piano division (Levels 10 & ARCT), playing in various classes including Bach, Mozart, Romantic Era, Canadian Composers, Concert Group, and Age Group. Both students got top placements in their respective classes.

Eldrick was awarded a Gold Diploma for his performance of Bach's Prelude & Fugue in C-sharp major (ARCT Level), and Silver and Bronze Diplomas in the Romantic and Mozart classes respectively.

Jimmy was awarded a Gold Diploma for his performance in the Concert Group class, playing complete Beethoven Sonata in F major, Op.10 No.2, Ravel's Prélude from Le Tombeau de Couperin, and Chopin's Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op.9 No.1. He received Silver Diplomas for both of his performances in the Canadian class and the Age Group class (which featured the highest number of competitors in one class).
